Shipping Policy & Restrictions

Purchasing Wines

Wines may be sold and delivered only to a person who is 21 years of age or older. By placing an order, you represent that:

  1. you are 21 years of age or older, and
  2. the person to whom any wine will be delivered is 21 years of age or older.

Shipping.

In general, we will ship using FedEx Ground or Residential service. If your order is time sensitive, please contact us at (509) 460-2886 to obtain a customized estimate and to place your order. Deliveries can only be made to physical addresses. We cannot ship to Post Office boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

Recipient Restrictions.

By placing an order for an alcoholic beverage through our website, you formally represent that you are at least 21 years of age and that the intended recipient of the shipment is at least 21 years of age. The recipient will be required to show identification that proves he or she is at least 21 years old and will be required to sign for the delivery.

Shipping Conditions.

Our goal is to ensure that the wine that we ship to you arrives in the best possible condition. We reserve the right to delay your shipment if we deem the weather en route or at your destination might be extreme enough (hot or cold) to affect the quality of the wine you will receive. Orders shipped via standard methods should arrive 7-10 days from the date of the order; this includes processing (sorry, we are a small operation!) and travel time. In extreme conditions (mid-summer/mid winter) and over long distances this time could extend to several weeks. Orders requested to be shipped overnight must be made by 10:00 a.m. Pacific time to arrive the next day.

Shipping Destinations.

Some State laws restrict or prevent shipping wine directly to consumers. Other states require a winery to obtain a license to ship wine to customers, as well as collect local/state tax, and file regular reports. We currently can ship to about 30 states.

If your state is not listed in the shopping cart and you believe you can legally receive wine shipments in your state, please call us at (509) 460-2886, M-F, 10-5 PST or drop us a note at info@sleepingdogwines.com. It’s possible that we may have sufficient interest to poke our nose into your state!

Forms of payment

We welcome your purchases using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. We also can make arrangements for payment by check in some circumstances.
