2010 Sauvignon Blanc

$16.00

The 2010 growing season was unusual for the Yakima Valley. Spring was drawn out, with a late frost, and the summer never achieved the high temperatures that we (and the grapes) have become accustomed to. As a result, many of the grapes were hard pressed to “make sugar” and their acidity remained fairly high even into October. While these conditions presented a challenge for red wines, it turned out to be a great year for Sauvignon Blanc, which has bright lemony color and fresh aromas of citrus. Grapefruit flavors carry through into the mouth with crisp, acid finish and lingering fruit.
